residents.

electronic communication service providers for certain assistance provided to the government.
• He said it was necessary for the nation to strengthen and improve intelligence
capabilities. The Director of Intelligence should be given the necessary authority he/she needs
over budget and personnel.
• He supports extending the right of Habeas Corpus to Guantanamo detainees. This he thinks
absolutely necessary to prove to the world that the Unites States is not a country that ships
prisoners to far off countries in the middle of the night to be tortured.
• He opined that the world should get the message that America is a land of laws, a nation
that stands against torture. He strongly opposes interrogation methods and procedures that brought
about emotional and physical suffering.
• He said he would expand the Hate Crimes Statute by supporting the Mathew Shepherd Act. This
would strengthen federal hate crime legislation and also pull up the Department of Justice.
• He plans to ban racial profiling by federal law enforcement agencies and provide federal
incentives to local police departments who help to prevent this practice.
• Sarah Palin supports a full ban on Abortion and Reproductive Rights. She describes herself
as pro contraception but does not make her position clear on birth control access and emergency
contraception.

support for the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy.
• He is of the opinion that civil liberty means the right to be kept alive and therefore it
can be left to the President to conduct surveillance for National security purposes.
• Romney suggests that all citizens of America may have to be subjected to some sort of

recognized in a way that includes health benefits and rights of survivorship. This is in accordance
with his belief that all citizens require equal rights regardless of sexual orientation.

potential of women in administration and draw on their skills.
• He advocated that nativity scenes and menorahs should be welcome in public places during
the holiday season.
