Palin position on National Security
|
• Palin has stated that both a nuclear Iran and an unstable Pakistan are terribly unsafe.
• She proclaimed that she would try her level best to reach out democracy for those who want freedom, independence, tolerance, and respect for equality and fight terrorism.
• She also feels that countries which house violent economic terrorists are the most dangerous threat to America.
• Palin feels that energy is the basis of national security.
• Palin has repeatedly conveyed to the military work force how very much she supports them.
• She supports efforts to do away with Islamic extremism, and terrorists whose main goal is to ruin the United States of America. In her interview with Charlie Gibson, Palin stated that "If there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the President has the obligation, the duty to defend."
• When questioned about what important cause Sarah Palin would campaign for if she was contesting for the post of President, she replied that "I would push a strong military and a sound energy policy. I believe that Alaska can help set an example on energy policy."
• As governor of Alaska, Palin proclaimed May 1st 2007 as 'Loyalty Day' and called upon Alaskans to come forward and support this national observance, exhibit the flag of USA and confirm their loyalty to the country.
